What U+200B is
The zero-width space is a Unicode character with no visual width. It occupies a position in the text but draws nothing.
Typesetting uses it to mark where a line may break without a visible hyphen. In web forms it is often inserted between letters to break up words that automated filters match on.
Detecting hidden characters
Some tools insert zero-width spaces into documents as a watermark, so a leaked copy can be traced back to its source. The detector below shows every zero-width character in a piece of text and removes them in one click.
